Consider when…

  • A client’s risk has increased beyond what a reactive foam surface is intended to address.
  • Consistent pressure redistribution is needed, but routinely adjusting a surface by hand is not realistic for the care team.
  • Heat and humidity at the skin surface are contributing factors.
  • A client is unsettled by surface movement, or benefits from a stable head and neck position.

How it works

Alternating pressure cycles one in three air cells, so the loaded area of the body changes over time rather than staying constant. Micro low air loss passes a constant low flow of air through the surface to moderate temperature and humidity at the skin. Auto-Detect calibrates cell pressure to the client’s weight and surface area, so the surface sets itself after a transfer.

Key features

  • Auto-Detect calibration

Automatically calibrates optimal pressure based on bodyweight and surface area — nothing for staff to set after a transfer.

  • Three therapy modes

Alternate, Pulsate and Constant Low Pressure, for individualized comfort and tolerance.

  • Bottoming-out protection

Lower air cells remain inflated. Clients can be repositioned without added pressure on bony or high-risk areas.

  • EasyCover

Cover easily removed for cleaning and disinfecting, and can be laundered. Ease of cleaning supports infection control.

  • StaticPillow head section

Motionless head section promotes head and neck positioning and reduces potential disturbance to the client.
