Pediatric knee positioning (NTG60)
The shape of the Wave Cushion assists with control of abduction and adduction to maintain the hips in a neutral position and support a neutral pelvic posture. The leg channels protect bony prominences at the knees or ankles from harmful contact with each other. The Wave Cushion can also protect heels and ankles from contacting the bed surface—particularly where there is high risk for skin breakdown, further complicated by limited circulation or contractures and deformity. It can be placed at the end of the bed to protect the feet from contact with the bed frame. By raising the lower extremities, the Wave Cushion can assist with promotion of circulation.

The Wave Cushion can be particularly effective in controlling the pelvic position when used with the NTG02 Eclipse Cushion. The NTG57 Lunar Cushion small can be combined with the NTG60 Wave Cushion small to manage contractures/deformities in the lower extremities.
