Pediatric trunk stability (NTG50)
The Seahorse Cushion provides trunk stability in side-lying using only one cushion. A client can be supported and repositioned at 30°, 70°, or 90° of rotation—or, if placed in front, the cushion can provide lateral positioning at 135°. Repositioning during sleep can be achieved by manipulating the contour of the malleable EverPod™ core without disrupting the individual. The weight and stability of the cushion provide a sense of support and safety—reducing agitation and allowing the individual to relax. With support under the neck and between the legs, pressure is distributed evenly along the trunk, maintaining positioning and promoting skin protection. The combination of stability and sensory feedback contributes to the regulation of muscle tone and spasticity, helping reduce the development of contractures. It can also support pain management, promote respiration, and assist in the control of movement disorders.

Genuine Dartex™ Cover

Often Used With
The Seahorse Cushion can be supplemented with NTG57 Lunar Cushion small and NTG10 Reef Cushion, to create additional pelvic stability and balance. Alternatively, the NTG13 Cloud Cushion or NTG10 Reef cushions can be used with the Seahorse Cushion to manage positioning of the Upper Extremities.
